A ninth-generation Georgian, Maria Arambula traces her family roots to the colonial Patrick family that settled in Columbus. In 2009, she moved to Ray City with her husband and children. Her public service includes roles as deputy clerk for both Ray City and Tifton. More recently, she has focused on historic preservation and championed the Ray City Community Library’s inclusion in the Coastal Plain Regional Library System, an effort that resulted in a supportive city resolution and the introduction of SR 487 2025 in the Georgia Senate. In her personal time, Maria enjoys family life, listening to music, swimming, reading poetry, and studying Christian sacred scripture and theology. In August 2025, she qualified as a candidate for Ray City Council. Her greatest hope is to be a servant of Christ alongside her neighbors
